Classic Wedding at The Bell Tower on 34th – Courtney & Brandon

Courtney and Brandon first reached out to us at Bring Joy to do the flowers for their wedding.  As it happened, early on in the proceedings, Courtney’s sister Candice was getting engaged herself.  Courtney wanted us to do the flowers for Candice’s engagement party.  After that, Candice booked Bring Joy to do the flowers for her wedding in July of 2022.  She and her fiancé Brandon (no relation) had their ceremony and reception at The Bell Tower on 34th.

After Candice and Brandon’s wedding, Courtney reached back out to us and we continued with the planning of her own wedding at The Bell Tower on 34th for the end of March in 2023.

For Courtney and Brandon’s wedding flowers, we did several different arrangements.  We, of course, provided the bride’s bouquet.  The style that Courtney was going for with the bride’s bouquet was a round style that consisted of white roses.  This style of bouquet is quite classic and creates an elegant look.

There were also eight bridesmaid bouquets that we did.  These consisted of white flowers and greenery.  They were done in the style of a hand tied bouquet.  By having a slightly different bouquet style from the bride, this allowed the bride’s bouquet to stand out all the more.

We provided the groom’s boutonniere and eight groomsmen boutonnieres.  Like the bridesmaids bouquets, the boutonnieres were done in the style of white flowers and greenery.  During the ceremony, there were also rose petals that the flower girls scattered down the aisle.

Additionally for the ceremony decor, we provided altar arrangements on stands, which created a great focal point for the couple at the altar.  Courtney and Brandon then chose to repurpose those arrangements for the reception.  We love when flowers are able to be used in more than one way.  Courtney also wanted a rose petal strewn aisle, which we were able to easily provide.

During the reception, Courtney and Brandon wanted tall centerpiece arrangements on glass columns on the tables.  These centerpieces were alternated with tables that had floating candles. At the last minute, Bring Joy was requested to provide a sweetheart table arrangement as well as a head table arrangement.

As per our policy, we always try to come prepared with leftover flowers and greenery so we are able to be flexible and make accommodations on hand at the venues as needed.  We want every bride and groom to have the best day and we try to be as flexible and accommodating as we can.

We also provided cake flowers to the baker to add to the cake.  We often leave the decision up to the baker if they want to add the flowers themselves.  We like to have open communication with the other vendors and the venue on the wedding day.  The photographer and videographer that Courtney and Brandon chose was no exception.  AB Motion Video not only provided beautifully stunning photos, but they were fantastic to work with.  They had open communication with all the vendors and made the day a joy to be a part of.

The venue, The Bell Tower on 34th, is located in the Heights part of Houston Texas.  It is about 8 miles northwest of downtown Houston.  They have several locations within the venue to hold ceremonies, and we have worked at each spot. The ceremony spaces include both indoor and outdoor.  It is an Italian-inspired venue location with a cascading waterfall and beautiful courtyard with garden spaces and two grand ballrooms.

Courtney and Brandon chose to have an indoor wedding.  They picked the Candela Ballroom for their wedding.  This space boasts a 75-foot long aisle and it positively radiates grandeur and elegance.  The ballroom has a long revealing staircase that they decided to have decorated with floating candles all the way down.

The Bell Tower provided the floating candles for the staircase as well as the clusters on the reception tables.  This created the classic and beautiful look that the couple was going for.  The ambiance of the candles coupled with the white flowers and pops of greenery really completed the look.

We always love working at the Bell Tower, especially working with any of the event planners there. They are all helpful and knowledgeable. They try and make each wedding a great day for every couple there.
