For those of us who live in Houston Texas and the surrounding areas, we are blessed with many different options when it comes to looking for a wedding venue. Houston is a sprawling metropolis and has many neighboring towns and cities that offer places to host your wedding ceremony and reception. Whatever your wedding style, you will find a place that caters to you. Whether you are looking for something intimate or large, outdoors by a lake or in the city, there are options for you.
As Houston-based wedding florists we are so glad to be able to be just a drive away from some amazing wedding venues. We like to be able to drive wherever we are needed and if that is north in the country, all the better for the beautiful scenery we get to see.
If you drive north from downtown Houston about 40 miles, you will reach the Magnolia, Conroe and Montgomery Texas areas of wedding venues. There are many different venues in this area including manors and ranches as well as lots of old oak trees. We have touched on some of these venues in our previous lists here and here.
For these wedding venues we looked at their ratings from three separate sources, as well as their proximity to downtown Houston and The Woodlands. We also touched on the guest capacity per venue and what the starting price for each venue is.
1.Sandlewood Manor
The Sandlewood Manor venue is located in Tomball, Texas and is 36 miles northwest of downtown Houston. This is a women-owned estate of 27 acres featuring terraces and balconies on their newly renovated 1800 square foot manor house. This venue also boasts a pecan orchard with an outdoor ceremony location under the canopy of a century old oak tree as well as a chapel for an indoor ceremony. This venue can hold up to 300 guests and the price starts at $7,900.

2.Magnolia Meadows
The Magnolia Meadows wedding venue is located in Magnolia, Texas and is 42 miles northwest of downtown Houston. It is located among the towering trees of the area with a little white chapel and a rustic outdoor pergola. These features help to give the southern charm to this wedding venue. There are large windows to overlook the landscape and the venue also offers an outdoor ceremony in the garden. 3.Pine Lake Ranch
The Pine Lake Ranch wedding venue is located in Montgomery, Texas and is 52 miles north of downtown Houston. 4.The Luminaire Venue

This is a vintage style mansion with both indoor and outdoor ceremony locations on its 25 acre property. The vintage-style wedding chapel maintains its timeless feel, although it was built in 2008.
