I am looking forward to this next year being able to step up my game after having these last few months taking it easy during the last weeks on my pregnancy and now on maternity leave.

I am loving motherhood and breathing through the tough times. Postpartum depression is a very real risk for me and I appreciate being so prepared to watch for signs as my baby is now almost a month old.

I highly encourage a quick tutorial on attaching boutonnières. It is very easy, but because flowers are a fresh delicate product many people feel bad sticking needles into them. Have your florist give a tutorial if you are having family members put on the boutonnières themselves. You want the flowers looking upright through the whole night for photos.

Did you know…boutonnières (like bouquets) were originally worn to ward off bad luck and spirits. They were also worn to add a nice scent as they did not shower as frequently in past centuries. Interesting history but so fun how the ancient traditions still last.
