Classic Country Summer Wedding at Venue 311 – Michelle & Brian

Bring Joy was featured in Brazos Valley Bride for this beautiful classic country wedding at Venue 311. You can read the article here about Michelle and Brian’s wedding on pages 82 & 83.

Michelle and Brian, an Austin couple, booked Bring Joy to do their wedding flowers the summer of 2019.  We all know what happened in March of 2020, and with the pandemic everything was up in the air, especially regarding weddings and events.  The bride and groom ended up deciding on August 2020 for their wedding day.

Working through the pandemic, everyone needed to be ready to deal with what came our way and Michell and Brian were thankful with how flexible Bring Joy was with all the changes that happened and that we were able to go with the flow…er.

The venue Michelle and Brian chose was Venue 311.  This Houston area venue is a particular favorite of ours at Bring Joy with the french country design, lovely views and beautiful buildings and not forgetting to mention the amazing staff.

On the day of the wedding even with all the planning that you do, mishaps can still happen.  When they do, the day can still turn out right when you are able to go with the flow.  The arch that was set up in the chapel had partially fallen down before the ceremony had started and we were able to drive back and fix it right away.  Communication and flexibility is key when it comes to wedding planning and making sure that everyone has the best day that they can, especially for the bride and groom.

The bride wanted rose petals down the center aisle leading to the altar.  This of course is not uncommon, but a unique touch of Michelle’s was to have smaller petals.  We were able to achieve this by using the petals of spray roses which are sweet and lush and not too big.  This created a walkway down the aisle that was picturesque.  The couple also used theses smaller petals for the guests to toss on them as they made their way up the aisle as a married couple.

The couple loved greenery and wanted to keep the decorations simple and let the flowers shine and speak for themselves.   We used mostly greenery in the arch at the altar with a bit of roses at the bottom to create a lush, nature-inspired look.  The sweetheart table was also mostly greenery laid with a bit of roses to continue the sweet nature theme.

For the rest of the decorations around the venue, Michelle and Brian wanted a combination of regular vases and bud vases that we at Bring Joy were able to provide.  We used the classic wedding colors that Michelle chose of greenery with white flowers and were able to create a sweet, elegant atmosphere for the couple.

Here at Bring Joy, we were so happy that we were able to help Michelle and Brian have the day they wanted, especially during the pandemic and all the uncertainty that came with it.  We wish them all the happiness and love they deserve.
